Jiffy N’ Lou: Installment #102

J

It is time once again for America’s favorite comic strip: The Adventues Of Jiffy N’ Lou! With special permission from the artist, The Rebelution is proud to present what many herald as the first and only homeschool comic strip! Jiffy N’ Lou debuted in Joshua Harris’ New Attitude Magazine back in 1994 and retired with the magazine in 1997. Then, for almost eight years, these homeschool cultural icons have vanished from the public eye.

Here on The Rebelution they are making their comeback, proving once again to the world that homeschool comic strips do indeed fill a gap that needs to be filled. Click on image to enlarge:

COMMENTARY: We appease our consciences much too easily.

  • sorta?? that word tells you everything. God is not SORTA NEAT! He is AMAZING, LOVING, KIND, and tones more good words put into one Being. Wow, these comics sure are eye-openers.

  • This is very true. It’s so easy to be complacent. Yes, it’s also important to start small, but I feel that I lapse into tepid waters so easily. (you are neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm)

  • That is so true! Many Christians today are beginning to become lukewarm in their desires for Christ. They only want to “feel good” about themselves, and have no want for convicting messages.

  • Great comic! Entertaining and thought provoking…

The sad thing is many Christian teens think that all they need to do to fulfill the Great Commission is just wear Christian T-shirts, listen to Christian music, and invite their friends to youth group. They miss the whole “go into the world and make disciples” part.

  • Wow! That is exactly the type of attitude that is making the Church in America weak…

Nothing less than absolute devotion to God. That’s what should be driving us.

  • “Oh, my GRAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” lol!!! if you wanna describe God, don’t say he’s “sorta neat” I mean, come on!!! this is definitely an exaggeration. but not too much of one.

    “You Are Amazing”
    by Stephanie J. B.

    you are amazing.
you are “positively perfect in every way”
    you are loving.
    you are awesome.
    your love never fails.
    you never forsake.
you always say the right thing.
you never forget what you were supposed to do.
you forgave me for unforgivable sin.
    you showed me the light.
you told me i was something when others said i was nothing.
    you called me your child.
you helped me when i had no help.
you healed me when i was sick.
you comforted me when i had no friends.
you heard my prayers, and you answered.
you’ve done what’s best for me my entire life.
you saved me when i was unholy.
you purified me in your grace.
you loved me before i knew you existed.
you plans for me far greater than i could ask or think.
    you created the WHOLE UNIVERSE.
YOU DIED FOR ME THAT I MIGHT LIVE!!!
for all this i am eternally greatful.
    THANK YOU FOR BEING GOD.

  • So so so so so true Stephanie Joy.

    Might I add,

    GOD IS ALLKNOWING AND ALLPOWERFUL!!!!!

I could go on and on and on, but even then we couldn’t completely cover how amazing He is.

  • The Bible says that if His name is not declared then the very rocks will start to cry out. T-shirts that simply say:”God is SORTA cool” really don’t count as declaring his name.

If you have reports of talking rocks in your area then you might want to start doing more than just wearing T-shirts 🙂

  • COOL!!!!!!!! There’s a guy in my youth group that made a T-shirt that says “Tell me how I can pray for you.” and so many people (strangers) were touched by the message:)
We don’t just have to talk about Christ, we can live it and wear it. And people will be touched just by our witness!

  • Internet is a source of information and knowledge. But there are so many sites in net which are nothing but gibberish. But when I visit your site – I felt that – in net there are lots of sites (like this) from where I can get lot of information too. And if I say truly – your site is fantastic. I’ve bookmarked your site in my browser; I hope in future days I’ll get more valuable information from your site.
